Quality & Safety

This page says exactly what we do, what we have checked, and what we have not. If something is missing from it, that is because we do not have it yet, not because we left it out.

How your order is prepared

Every formulation is prepared by hand, in small batches, in the dispensary photographed on this page. The raw material is selected first, cleaned, and ground to the consistency the classical Unani method calls for. Nothing is bought in ready-made and relabelled under our name.

Small batches mean we can tell you which batch your jar came from. Every jar carries a batch number and an expiry date.

Where it is made, and what we are certified for

Production is carried out with a manufacturing partner in Pakistan. Any quality certification that facility holds belongs to the facility, not to us, and we do not publish another company's documents.

Nuskha Herbal itself does not hold ISO certification, GMP certification, WHO accreditation or PCSIR certification. We are stating that plainly because you will see those badges on a great many herbal websites in this country, and a badge on a web page is an image file. If a seller shows you one, ask for the certificate number and check it with the issuing body. Ask us the same question and this paragraph is our answer.

WHO does not certify companies at all. Any site showing a "WHO Certified" seal has made it up, and that is a useful thing to know before you buy herbal products from anyone.

What is in the jar

Every ingredient is printed on the product page with its English name, its Urdu name and its botanical name. Nothing sits behind the words "proprietary blend". If you cannot see what is in a herbal product, that is a decision the seller made, and it is worth asking why.

What we do not put in

No steroids. No sildenafil or any other synthetic drug. No colouring. No filler to make the powder go further.

We will put money behind that rather than just saying it: if a laboratory test ever finds a synthetic drug in one of our batches, we will refund every customer of that batch in full. That offer costs us nothing if we are telling you the truth, and it should cost a great deal to anybody who is not.

What we have not done yet

We do not currently publish a third-party heavy-metal test on our own batches.

This matters most for salajeet, which is a mineral substance drawn from rock. Poorly sourced or badly purified salajeet can carry lead, arsenic or mercury, and none of that has a smell, a taste or an appearance. No home test will ever reveal it. Purification is exactly why the classical texts describe a process rather than treating the raw material as the medicine.

When we have a batch report, it will be published on this page as the actual document, with the batch number on it, so you can open it and read the numbers yourself. Not as a badge.

Until then, judge us on what we will show you.

How to check any herbal seller, including us

Four questions. A seller who handles the material can answer all four without hesitating.

  1. What is in it, by name? Every ingredient, in a language you can look up. "Herbal blend" is not an answer.
  2. Which batch is this, and when was it made? If there is no batch number, nobody can trace a problem back to anything.
  3. What are you certified for, and by whom? Then check the number with the issuing body. Not the badge, the number.
  4. Who do I speak to if something is wrong? A real phone number answered by a person.

Ours is 0320 735 1581. Call it.

If you have a medical condition

These are traditional Unani preparations and they are food supplements, not medicines. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you take prescription medicine, have high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, or you are under 18, speak to a doctor before starting any herbal course. We would rather lose the sale.
